Tell me about licensing your stuff...

Most everything I release is for non-commercial use and is covered by Creative Commons. This licensing makes the most sense because my primary target audience is hobbyists and semi-professionals. It is also very flexible. If you have a commercial project or want to use something on a commercial or promotional video, contact me to obtain permission.

What can I use your audio stuff in.....

AudioDramas, Podcasts, YouTube Videos, Slide-shows, Website background music, Not-for-Profit event promotions, background music for videos etc. If you are not sure if your use may violate the license, just ask me. I don't bite.

If I want to use  "xxxxxx" in a commercial project, can I at no charge?

Most likely yes. But you need to contact me to work out details and get a waiver if needed. This has been the case with YouTube in a few instances.

Why give away music when you could sell it?

There are lots of people like me, and perhaps you, who are releasing lots of cool media content onto the web for everyone to enjoy at no cost. Folks need music and audio bits they can afford to enhance their productions. In some cases "afford" means free.   It also provides a reason for me to even make music in the first place. I guess in a "holistic" sense, it's my artistic contribution to society. 

My payoff thus far has been seeing (hearing) my stuff used in lots of projects during the past 4 years. I have also had a chance to work with amazing people. You can't put a dollar value on that.

Do you take donations?

If you are feeling generous, you can send a gift of any amount to brian@seraphicpanoplymusic.com via PayPal. You are in no way obligated to make a donation to me in exchange for using my content though. All that is expected is proper credit/attribution.

Will I sell my music in the future?

The answer is yes. Later this year I plan on releasing a CD as a fund raiser to help fund some updated gear and software. This is not a cheap hobby and really for those who buy it/donate it is an investment in their future too. Fear not though, I'll still be releasing lots of free stuff. And, what is free today will remain free.
